The Plumbers on Your Job
Every plumber who works on your job is licensed. Gasfitting sits on top of plumbing as its own licence, and our crew carries both, so gas units are covered too.
How a Visit Unfolds
Every job follows the same four beats, and the price always lands before the tools do.
- You describe what the unit is doing, and we line up a day that works for you.
- A plumber looks over the system and prices the whole job up front.
- Once you approve the figure, we do the work and run the hot taps before we leave.
- Card or EFTPOS settles the invoice once the work is done.
The Work We Take On
Four services look after a hot water system from start to finish, and we handle all of them.
- Hot water repairs, for a working system with one faulty part.
- No hot water, when the taps have run cold and it cannot wait.
- Hot water replacement, for a tank at the end of its working life.
- Hot water installation, for a renovation, a new build or a first system.
Each system type has its own page as well: gas hot water, electric hot water, instant hot water, heat pump hot water and solar hot water.
The Housing We Work In
Mostly units
Census figures put flats and apartments at 61.7 per cent of the 3,173 dwellings counted here, so the typical job is a compact cylinder in a cupboard or a shared plant room, not a big tank out the back.
Student pressure
Housing near the QUT campus and in the urban village cops its hardest workout when semester starts, and rented cottages often keep older electric tanks that nobody has had serviced in years.
Rentals first
Because most dwellings are rented, the quote often goes to a landlord or a body corporate, so we put the findings and the figure in writing every time. That mix of cottages, flats and student accommodation is exactly the mix Kelvin Grove Same Day Hot Water works in.
The Run We Cover
Kelvin Grove Same Day Hot Water covers this suburb and five neighbours on the regular run, each with its own page: Newmarket, Wilston, Herston, Spring Hill and Petrie Terrace. To book, ring (07) 3523 1736 or head to our contact page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Call (07) 3523 1736Who comes out to hot water jobs in Kelvin Grove?
A licensed plumber from our team comes out, and because gasfitting is a separately licensed trade in Queensland we hold that licence too, so gas and electric units stay with one crew.
Which hot water systems do you work on near the QUT campus?
Electric storage, gas storage, instant gas and electric, heat pump and solar systems, and Rheem, Rinnai and Bosch gear is all familiar work for us across the cottages, flats and student housing here.
Does Urban Utilities affect a hot water job here?
It can, since Urban Utilities looks after the water main up to your boundary, so before any swap we check the isolation point and the street pressure first, then plan around them.
Do you cover the suburbs next door?
Yes, our regular run takes in Newmarket, Wilston, Herston, Spring Hill and Petrie Terrace, and each of those neighbours has its own page on this site beside the one covering this suburb.
How does quoting work for a replacement in Kelvin Grove?
You get the whole job priced as one figure before any tool comes out, and nothing starts until you have approved it, so the number you sign is the number you pay.
How do I book a hot water job in Kelvin Grove?
Ring (07) 3523 1736 or send the form with the system type, a guess at its age and where the unit sits, and we will arrange a day and a time that suit your week.
